Robert Wood Sr
Robert Nelson Wood Sr, my Dad, was a true gem! He lived his life for his family, and made tremendous sacrifices to ensure that his four children all received their college degrees. He met my Mother on a blind date while he was in the army & she was a nurse in Washington DC. English was her 2nd language so there was always fun in our house with their teasing back/forth. Dad would tease that Mom said something to him in Spanish that he didn’t understand. He replied with a yes & the next thing he knew, he was walking down the isle in Church getting married to her. They were both very active in their Church and taught their children to love the Lord, and that God will always take care of the family. The had a wonderful marriage & were great role models for what family should be for us kids. We love & miss Dad with all of our heart. He was one of a kind!
