Kelvin Wall
Kelvin Wall. What were the odds that a black man born in Harlem in 1929 would achieve his dream of being an executive in a large corporation? He credits his grandmother for giving him the confidence and motivation to be the first African American Vice President of the Coca Cola company. An entrepreneur and risk taker his whole life, he launched a tech start-up with his son and another partner. He remained engaged and productive throughout his life. His attitude always: What’s next? He was committed to helping other achieve their full potential and mentored many. He was a remarkable man who lived a rich and full life. He enriched mine.
Kelvin was my husband Alan Pinado cousin.. He always was helpful to him. Alan died October 4, 2019. I remember the first trip Alan took me on after we married was to visit Kelvin at his Coca Colo office in Atlanta, Georgia.
I met Kelvin years ago while employed as a beauty editor at Ebony, Ebony Man, editor in Chief, and International beauty and training director, Fashion Fair Cosmetics. He perused many of my magazine articles, reviewed and edited my successful five published books. Kelvin helped many successful businessmen and women. RIP.
