Joe Harrington
Daddy left us June 20th, 2015 at the age of 94. He will be forever missed by his beloved family and friends.
The following words, written by my youngest sister, capture the essence of this wonderful man we all loved over the length and breadth of our lives.
“Family was his greatest joy from the time he married the love of his life, Kathryn, 67 years ago . . . his children, Maureen, Patty, Katey, Rusty, Jane and Tim, and their families will forever remember for his warm heart and intrepid optimism. During WWII, Joe was a navigator in the US Army Air Corps. He founded Harrington Life Associates, where he was a compassionate employer for decades in the DC area. In all his endeavors he was known for his sturdy integrity. Joe had a faculty for making and keeping friends. Peace was ever his watchword. ”
We will always honor, love and respect him as a member of the “Greatest Generation.”
