Sadye K.
My grandma Sadye was 101 when she passed. More than anything on this earth, she loved her family. She had 2 sons, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a Special Education Teacher in the Rochester, NY City Schools for over 25 years, and was believed to be the oldest alumna of SUNY Oswego. Unlike most grandmothers, she had no knack or inclination to cook but she loved taking us out to dinner, which was just fine with all of us! She was an avid football fan (primarily college football) and a political junkie with some very strong opinions! You always knew where you stood with her–she never minced words. She lives on in my heart and I often use expressions that she used and think of her. She was one very special lady.
