Irene C. Bush
Mrs. Irene Cornelia Bush was born in Richmond, VA and raised in Washington, DC. She was the mother of two children who predeceased her. Her beautiful daughter Vicky, once crowned Miss District of Columbia, was an Airline Stewardess and her son Eric was a pharmacist. Ms. Bush was a long-time educator at the University of the District of Columbia and was the Director, of the University’s Office of Alumni Affairs. She was my Godmother, confidante and dear friend. It was my honor to care for her at her request when her health began to fade. She was loved by many of her neighbors, of which some became dear friends. Mrs. Bush would go out of her way to help others. Thank you Capital Caring for the wonderful services that your nurses and other representatives gave my godmother. I will never forget that. I will always hold a special light in my heart for my Godmother, Mrs. Irene Cornelia Bush.
